Examen « partie Capteurs SME »
Session 2. 23 juin 2021

OPERATION-THERMOSTAT CONTROLS
Three themmally triggered outs, Trac, Thon, and Toya provided to allow the DS1620 to be used
as athenmesta. a show in Figure 3. When the DS1620's temperature mets or exeeds the value stored
in the high temperature trip register, the output Tyyau becomes active (high) and remains active until the
DS1620's measured temperate becomes less than the stored value inthe igh temperature register, TH.
The Tiucy output can be used to indicate that a high temperature tolerance boundary has been met or
exceeded, ot can be used as part ofa closed loop system to activate a cooling system and deactvae it
when the system temperature retums to tolerance,
DS1620's measured temperature
The Trow output functions similarly to the Tica output. When the
the Tow output becomes active
equals or falls below the value stored in the low temperature register,
Tow remains active until the DS1620’s temperature becomes greater than the value stored in the low
temperature register, TL. The Tiow output can be used to indicate that a low temperature tolerance
boundary has been met or exceeded, or as part of a closed loop system it can be used to activate a heating
system and deactivate it when the system temperature returns to tolerance,

OPERATION AND CONTROL
The DS1620 must have temperature settings resident in the TH
‘operation. A configuration/status register also determines the method
use in a particular application and indicates the status of the temperature conversion ops
‘configuration register is defined as follows:

THE = Temperature High Flag. This bit wll be set to 1 when the temperature is greater than or equal
to the value of TH. I will remain 1 until reset by writing 0 into this location or by removing power from

temperatures above TH while power has been applied. The [Link] state is 20.
