Les articles définis et indéfinis (Definite and Indefinite Articles)
Articles are words placed before nouns. They tell us whether we are talking about a specific noun or
any noun.

Easy Memory Tricks
le / la / l' / les = the (specific)
un / une / des = a / an / some (not specific)
l' is used before a vowel or silent h.
Most plurals = add -s.
-al → -aux (except bals, carnavals, festivals, récitals, chacals).
-au, -eau → +x.
Seven special -ou nouns take -x: bijou, caillou, chou, genou, hibou, joujou, pou.
