FUNDAMENTO DE LAS PDR
Una Prueba rápida de malarfia (PDR) es
una prueba inmunocromatográfica en la
que se detectan antígenos parasitarios
específicos (proteínas: Aldolasa, pLDH
(Lactato deshidrogenasa) y HRP2
(Proteína 2 rica en Histidina) producidos
por parásitos de la malaria presentes en
sangre de individuos infectados.
CARACTERISTICAS DE LAS PDR
• Detección: P.f.-HRP2, P.f.-pLDH y P.v.-pLDH
• Útil para la región en la que tanto P.v. como P.f.
• Identifica falsos positivos de P.f. HRP2 después del
tratamiento.
• Útil para la región en la que se sospecha de
eliminación del gen P.f. HRP2.
• Distingue entre monoinfecciones de P.f. y
coinfección P.f./P.v.
• Evaluado por la OMS en los estudios de las pruebas
de diagnóstico rápido para malaria.

• REALIZAR UNA PDR TODO PACIENTE SOSPECHOSO A MALARIA
(SINTOMATOLOGIA)
• PACIENTES DE ZONAS ENDEMICAS DE MALARIA
• SI SALE NEGATIVO VOLVER A REPETIR LA PRUEBA A LAS 48 HORAS
• NO REALIZAR BARRIDOS HEMATICOS
• REALIZAR EN LAS IPRESS CUANDO NO TENGA LABORATORISTA O EN
HORARIOS
