Past Simple
Para que se usa?
Usamos el pasado simple para acciones completas en el
pasado. El período de tiempo de estas acciones no es
importante como en el español. En el pasado simple hay
verbos regulares y verbos irregulares.
For what do you use it?
We use the past simple for complete actions in the past.
The time period of these actions is not important as in
Spanish. In the past simple there are regular verbs and
irregular verbs.

Reglas gramaticales Excepciones:
• Para usar verbos regulares para formar la forma -Para verbos que terminan en una “e”, sólo añadimos “-d”
simple del pasado, usamos el infinitivo y agregamos change → changed
la terminación "-ed". Todas las personas tienen la Dance → danced
misma forma. (I, you, he, she, it, we, they).
-Si el verbo termina en una vocal corta y una consonante
(excepto “y” o “w”), doblamos la consonante final.
• Ejemplo: stop → stopped
• want → wanted commit → committed
• learn → learned
-Con verbos que terminan en una consonante y una “y”, se
• stay → stayed cambia la “y” por una “i”.
