An invention that changed our lives

One invention that completely changed the way we live is the internet. It connects people instantly all over the

world. Thanks to it, we can work from home, attend online classes, buy anything from our phones, and stay

informed in real time. I use the internet every day for studying, communicating, and entertainment.

However, the internet also has some negative effects. Some people become addicted to social media or

video games, and there is a lot of false information online. Despite this, I believe the internet has improved

our lives in many ways.

If I could invent something, I would create a machine that transforms plastic waste into clean energy. It would

help reduce pollution and protect our environment. The world needs creative and sustainable inventions like

that.

Un invento que cambió por completo nuestra forma de vivir es el internet. Conecta a personas de todo el

mundo al instante. Gracias a él, podemos trabajar desde casa, asistir a clases en línea, comprar cualquier

cosa desde el móvil y mantenernos informados en tiempo real. Yo uso internet todos los días para estudiar,

comunicarme y entretenerme.

Sin embargo, también tiene efectos negativos. Algunas personas se vuelven adictas a las redes sociales o a

los videojuegos, y hay mucha información falsa. Aun así, creo que internet ha mejorado nuestras vidas en

muchos aspectos.

Si pudiera inventar algo, crearía una máquina que transforme los residuos plásticos en energía limpia.

Ayudaría a reducir la contaminación y proteger el medio ambiente. El mundo necesita inventos creativos y

sostenibles como ese.

2. Pros and cons of social media

ENGLISH:

Social media has many advantages. It allows us to connect with people from anywhere in the world, share

photos and videos, and express our opinions. It?s also a great tool for learning, following news, and even
promoting businesses or projects.

But there are also disadvantages. It can be addictive, cause anxiety, and reduce face-to-face communication.

Some people feel pressure to always look perfect or compare themselves to others. Also, not everything we

see online is true.

In conclusion, social media is useful and fun, but we must use it wisely and not let it control our lives.

SPANISH:

Las redes sociales tienen muchas ventajas. Nos permiten conectar con personas de cualquier parte del

mundo, compartir fotos y videos y expresar nuestras opiniones. También son una gran herramienta para

aprender, seguir noticias e incluso promocionar negocios o proyectos.

Pero también hay desventajas. Pueden ser adictivas, causar ansiedad y reducir la comunicación cara a cara.

Algunas personas sienten presión por parecer perfectas o se comparan con los demás. Además, no todo lo

que vemos en línea es verdadero.

En conclusión, las redes sociales son útiles y divertidas, pero debemos usarlas con inteligencia y no dejar

que controlen nuestras vidas.

3. Teamwork or working alone

ENGLISH:

Personally, I prefer working in a team. I enjoy sharing ideas, discussing different opinions, and learning from

others. Teamwork can make tasks more fun and efficient. When people work together, they often find better

solutions and support each other.

However, I also understand the benefits of working alone. It allows you to concentrate, manage your time,

and make decisions quickly. Some people are more productive when they work independently.

In my opinion, the best option depends on the task. For creative projects, I prefer teamwork. For writing or

studying, I usually work alone.

SPANISH:

Personalmente, prefiero trabajar en equipo. Me gusta compartir ideas, debatir diferentes opiniones y
aprender de los demás. El trabajo en equipo puede hacer que las tareas sean más divertidas y eficientes.

Cuando las personas colaboran, a menudo encuentran mejores soluciones y se apoyan mutuamente.

Sin embargo, también entiendo los beneficios de trabajar solo. Permite concentrarse, gestionar el tiempo y

tomar decisiones rápidamente. Algunas personas son más productivas cuando trabajan de forma

independiente.

En mi opinión, la mejor opción depende de la tarea. Para proyectos creativos, prefiero el trabajo en equipo.

Para escribir o estudiar, suelo trabajar solo.

4. Future jobs

ENGLISH:

In the next 20 years, I think the most popular jobs will be related to technology and health. For example, jobs

in artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, and green energy will be in high demand. People will also

need doctors, nurses, and mental health specialists.

Many current jobs might disappear or change because of automation and machines. So, it?s important for

young people to learn digital skills and be open to continuous learning.

I believe flexibility and creativity will be key qualities for workers in the future.

SPANISH:

En los próximos 20 años, creo que los trabajos más populares estarán relacionados con la tecnología y la

salud. Por ejemplo, los empleos en inteligencia artificial, robótica, ciberseguridad y energías renovables

estarán muy demandados. También se necesitarán médicos, enfermeros y especialistas en salud mental.

Muchos trabajos actuales podrían desaparecer o cambiar por la automatización y las máquinas. Por eso, es

importante que los jóvenes aprendan habilidades digitales y estén abiertos a aprender continuamente.

Creo que la flexibilidad y la creatividad serán cualidades clave para los trabajadores del futuro.

5. Last movie or TV series

The last series I watched was 'Stranger Things'. I really liked it because it mixes mystery, science fiction, and

friendship. The characters are interesting, and the story keeps you engaged.

I would recommend it to others, especially teenagers and people who like suspense and 1980s culture. The

soundtrack is amazing, and the plot gets more exciting with each season.

However, some scenes are a bit scary, so I wouldn?t recommend it to very young viewers.

La última serie que vi fue 'Stranger Things'. Me gustó mucho porque mezcla misterio, ciencia ficción y

amistad. Los personajes son interesantes y la historia te atrapa.

La recomendaría a otras personas, especialmente a adolescentes y a quienes les gustan el suspense y la

cultura de los años 80. La banda sonora es increíble y la trama se vuelve más emocionante con cada

temporada.

Sin embargo, algunas escenas dan un poco de miedo, así que no la recomendaría a niños pequeños.

6. Watching films: cinema or home?

ENGLISH:

I prefer watching films at home because it?s more comfortable and cheaper. I can relax in my pajamas,

pause the movie if I need to, and eat whatever snacks I like.

However, going to the cinema is a special experience. The big screen and sound system make the film more

exciting. It?s also fun to go with friends or family.

So, for everyday watching, I choose home. But for new or action-packed films, I like the cinema.

SPANISH:

Prefiero ver películas en casa porque es más cómodo y barato. Puedo relajarme en pijama, pausar la

película si lo necesito y comer los aperitivos que quiera.

Sin embargo, ir al cine es una experiencia especial. La pantalla grande y el sonido hacen que la película sea
más emocionante. También es divertido ir con amigos o familia.

Así que, para ver películas a diario, elijo casa. Pero para estrenos o películas de acción, me gusta el cine.

7. Watching TV and streaming

ENGLISH:

I don?t watch traditional TV very often. Instead, I use streaming platforms like Netflix or YouTube. They let

me watch what I want, when I want, without commercials.

I prefer watching documentaries, science fiction series, and comedies. Streaming has changed the way we

enjoy content. Now, many people binge-watch shows or follow trends on social media.

In the past, we had to wait for a specific day and time to watch something. Now, we have more freedom and

variety.

SPANISH:

No veo la televisión tradicional muy a menudo. En cambio, uso plataformas de streaming como Netflix o

YouTube. Me permiten ver lo que quiero, cuando quiero, y sin anuncios.

Prefiero ver documentales, series de ciencia ficción y comedias. El streaming ha cambiado la forma en que

disfrutamos del contenido. Ahora muchas personas ven varios capítulos seguidos o siguen tendencias en

redes sociales.

Antes teníamos que esperar un día y una hora concreta para ver algo. Ahora tenemos más libertad y

variedad.

8. First song or band you liked

ENGLISH:

The first band I really liked was Coldplay. I remember hearing their song ?Clocks? on the radio and loving the

piano melody and rhythm. I asked my parents to buy me the CD.

Their music made me feel calm and inspired. I started listening to more bands after that, but Coldplay will
always be special to me because they were the first.

Music has a strong emotional power. It helps us remember moments and feel connected to others.

SPANISH:

La primera banda que me gustó de verdad fue Coldplay. Recuerdo haber escuchado su canción ?Clocks? en

la radio y me encantó la melodía del piano y el ritmo. Le pedí a mis padres que me compraran el CD.

Su música me hacía sentir tranquilo e inspirado. Después empecé a escuchar a más grupos, pero Coldplay

siempre será especial para mí porque fue el primero.

La música tiene un poder emocional muy fuerte. Nos ayuda a recordar momentos y sentirnos conectados

con los demás.

9. Music festival

ENGLISH:

The most famous music festival in my country is Primavera Sound. It takes place in Barcelona and attracts

artists from all over the world. It?s known for mixing indie, rock, electronic, and pop music.

I went once with some friends. What I liked the most was the atmosphere and discovering new bands. The

least I liked was the long lines for food and bathrooms.

Festivals are a great way to enjoy live music and meet new people.

SPANISH:

El festival de música más famoso de mi país es Primavera Sound. Se celebra en Barcelona y atrae a artistas

de todo el mundo. Es conocido por mezclar música indie, rock, electrónica y pop.

Fui una vez con algunos amigos. Lo que más me gustó fue el ambiente y descubrir nuevos grupos. Lo que

menos, las largas colas para la comida y los baños.

Los festivales son una gran manera de disfrutar la música en vivo y conocer gente nueva.
10. Books vs Movies

ENGLISH:

I think reading books is more enjoyable than watching movies. When you read, you use your imagination to

create the world, characters, and voices in your mind. It?s a deeper and more personal experience.

Books also give more details and let you understand the characters? thoughts. However, movies are faster

and more visual. They are great when you want to relax or see a story in a short time.

Both are valuable, but if I had to choose, I would pick books.

SPANISH:

Creo que leer libros es más disfrutable que ver películas. Cuando lees, usas tu imaginación para crear el

mundo, los personajes y las voces en tu mente. Es una experiencia más profunda y personal.

Los libros también dan más detalles y te permiten entender los pensamientos de los personajes. Sin

embargo, las películas son más rápidas y visuales. Son geniales cuando quieres relajarte o ver una historia

en poco tiempo.

Ambos son valiosos, pero si tuviera que elegir, me quedaría con los libros.
