Global Designing Cities Initiative
We're thrilled to announce that Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ???? and Cuenca,
Ecuador ????, have been selected to receive technical support from GDCI�s Streets
for Kids program! These two cities have shown incredible leadership in prioritizing
children's needs by transforming streets around schools, especially in low-income
neighborhoods, and by channeling kids� experiences and voices into the design
process. In 2025, Cuenca and Rio were selected for the second round of the Streets
for Kids Leadership Accelerator. They were among ten cities chosen from 33
applicants for a two-month intensive training program. The current technical
assistance both cities will receive was offered to just two of the ten
participating cities, based on their impressive accomplishments, built on global
best practices, and the potential to grow their impact and inspire other cities.
The technical assistance GDCI will provide aims to help each city improve,
institutionalize, and expand existing street design processes, projects, and
programs so that they prioritize children�s needs. Rio and Cuenca will also receive
funding to help them implement their proposals. Congratulations to Cuenca and Rio
de Janeiro! We look forward to seeing the incredible progress you will make as you
continue to make safer, more accessible, and more enjoyable streets for kids. A big

- Las fotograf�as estenopeicas se realizan con una c�mara hecha con un tarro de
galletas, se hace un orificio por donde entrar� la luz, se carga a oscuras con
papel fotogr�fico y se sale a tomar la fotograf�a . Luego se realiza el proceso de
positivado en papel y tenemos una imagen fotogr�fica sin c�mara.
- Las fotograf�as producidas se realizan disfrazando a las mascotas y obteniendo
una actitud curiosa por parte de la misma.

filtros aditivos y exposiciones m�ltiples la teor�a del color que dice que la suma
de los 3 colores aditivos da como resultado el color blanco. Esta t�cnica se debe
realizar con objetos en movimiento
Se monta la c�mara an�loga cargada con pel�cula en color de 100 ISO, se monta en un
tr�pode, Luego se tomas las tres exposiciones con los filtros rojo, verde y azul,
sin avanzar la pel�cula, osea en una toma debe considerar el uso de los 3 filtros,
La toma se realiza en la plaza, haciendo una toma de las olas. Todo lo que est�
fijo (las rocas, los �rboles) aparecen del color real, en todo aquello que est� en
movimiento se logra la separaci�n del espectro visible de los colores

Habitat for Humanity International
In Mexico, 11 EDGE-certified homes were recently completed in Monte Si�n, a
mountain community in Chiapas that was founded by Indigenous families displaced by
conflict. The completed homes are part of the Lekil Na� project, which means
�sustainable housing� in the residents' native Tzotzil. These homes were partially
built using RESIN8�, a technology that transforms non-recyclable plastic waste into
concrete blocks and floors, and feature solar panels and boilers. H�bitat para la
Humanidad M�xico provided training so that the new homeowners could take advantage

New pioneering alliance integrates human rights in environmental licensing. We are
proud to announce an innovative partnership between Autoridad Nacional de Licencias
Ambientales (ANLA), which is the Colombian National Environmental Licensing
Authority, and the Danish Institute for Human Rights � the first of its kind in
Latin America. This strategic collaboration aims to embed a human rights-based
approach into environmental licensing and assessment processes, contributing to a
more inclusive, transparent, and sustainable model of environmental governance. Our
cooperation will include: - Technical advice on integrating human rights into
licensing, including citizen participation - Strengthening institutional capacities
on human rights - Supporting the implementation of the Escaz� Agreement -
Fostering knowledge exchange and conflict prevention As Colombia holds the Pro
Tempore Presidency of #REDLASEIA, this partnership reinfoces a regional vision for
human rights-based environmental impact assessments, and we hope it will inspire
similar efforts across the region. Together, ANLA and Danish Institute for Human
Rights aim to lay the groundwork for a new generation of environmental licensing �
one built on communication, dialogue, meaningful engagement, and transformative
