SIMPLE PAST
● El "simple past" se utiliza para hablar de una acción
que concluyó en un tiempo anterior al actual. La
duración no es relevante. El tiempo en que se sitúa la
acción puede ser el pasado reciente o un pasado
lejano.
● Su forma es la misma para todos los sujetos.
● En los verbos regulares se forma agregando «ED» al
verbo.
● En el caso de los verbos irregulares debemos
aprender el pasado de los verbos de memoria.

Presta mucha atención
REGULAR VERBS A los verbos que acaban en
consonante + y, cambian la "y" por "i"
y añaden ed (=-ied)
A los verbos regulares generalmente se study → studied
añade «ED» para realizar oraciones en
pasado carry → carried
wash → washed Los verbos que acaban en vocal + -
y, añaden -ed.
finish → finished
play → played
Los verbos que acaban en
A los verbos que acaban en «e»,
consonante + vocal + consonante, se
sólo añadimos una «d».
dobla la ultima consonante, si la
ultima silaba es la fuerte y se añade
like → liked «ed»
live → lived stop → stopped
shop → shopped
Excepto verbos que terminan con
«w» y «y»
