Trucos para hacer bien los rephrasing de inglés de la PAU
1. Comprende la estructura original
- Antes de reescribir, entiende completamente la frase original.
- Identifica el tiempo verbal, sujeto, objeto y palabras clave.
2. Identifica qué gramática se evalúa
- Pasiva vs. activa:
- They built the house in 1990 -> The house was built in 1990.
- Reported speech:
- "I am happy," she said -> She said that she was happy.
- Condicionales:
- If I study, I will pass -> I will pass if I study.
- Modales:
- You must do it -> You have to do it.
- Comparativos y superlativos:
- This book is more interesting than that one -> That book is less interesting than this one.
3. Cuidado con el tiempo verbal
- Respeta el tiempo de la frase original.
- En reported speech, ajusta los tiempos según las reglas (backshifting).
4. Sinónimos y paráfrasis
- Usa sinónimos para evitar repetir palabras, pero sin cambiar el significado.
- The exam is difficult -> The exam is hard.
5. Aprende fórmulas comunes
- So... that / Such... that:
- The book was so good that I could not stop reading -> It was such a good book that I could not
stop reading.
- Not only... but also:
- He is smart and hardworking -> He is not only smart but also hardworking.
- Despite / In spite of:
- Although it was raining, we went out -> Despite the rain, we went out.
6. Evita errores comunes
- No traduzcas literalmente del español.
- Revisa la concordancia entre sujeto y verbo.
- Cuida preposiciones y pronombres.
7. Practica mucho
- Busca exámenes anteriores y haz ejercicios de rephrasing.
- Compara tus respuestas con las soluciones.
8. Relee tu frase final
- Comprueba que la nueva frase tiene el mismo significado que la original.
- Revisa gramática, vocabulario y ortografía.
