Cuando se apaga el encendido, durante el modo de funcionamiento posterior a la marcha.
Establecer condición:
El módulo de control del tren motriz (PCM) determina que el relé ASD se ha apagado antes de que se haya
completado el modo de funcionamiento DESPUÉS DE LA MARCHA.
POSIBLES CAUSAS
(K51) CIRCUITO DE CONTROL DEL RELÉ ASD ABIERTO
(K51) CIRCUITO DE CONTROL DEL RELÉ ASD EN CORTO A TENSIÓN
(K51) CIRCUITO DE CONTROL DEL RELÉ ASD EN CORTO A TIERRA
PÉRDIDA DE PODERES O TIERRAS DEL MÓDULO DE CONTROL DEL TREN DE POTENCIA
RELÉ ASD
MÓDULO DE CONTROL DEL TREN DE POTENCIA (PCM)
Realice siempre el procedimiento de solución de problemas previo al diagnóstico antes de continuar. (Consulte
28 - Diagnóstico basado en DTC/MÓDULO, Control del mecanismo de transmisión (PCM) - Procedimiento
estándar) .
1. DTC ACTIVO
NOTA: Si los DTC P0685 y P0688 están presentes, diagnostique y repare el DTC P0685 antes que el P0688.
1. Con la herramienta de exploración, borre los DTC del PCM.
2. Realice varios ciclos de la llave de encendido, haciendo pausas de al menos 10 segundos entre cada ciclo.
3. Encienda el encendido.
4. Con la herramienta de exploración, lea los DTC del PCM.
¿Está activo el DTC?
Sí
Ir a 2
No
Realice el procedimiento de diagnóstico CONDICIÓN INTERMITENTE. (Consulte 28 - Diagnóstico basado en
DTC/MÓDULO, Control del mecanismo de transmisión (PCM) - Procedimiento estándar) .
2. SUSTITUIR EL RELÉ ASD
1. Apague el encendido.
2. Instale un relé en buen estado en lugar del relé ASD.
3. Encienda el encendido.

4. Con la herramienta de exploración, borre los DTC del PCM.
5. Realice varios ciclos de la llave de contacto, haciendo pausas de al menos 10,0 segundos entre cada ciclo.
6. Encienda el encendido.
7. Con la herramienta de exploración, lea los DTC del PCM.
¿Volvió este DTC?
Sí
Ir a 3
No
Reemplace el relé ASD de acuerdo con la información de servicio.
Realice la PRUEBA DE VERIFICACIÓN DEL MECANISMO DE POTENCIA. (Consulte 28 - Diagnóstico basado
en DTC/MÓDULO, Control del mecanismo de transmisión (PCM) - Procedimiento estándar) .
3. COMPRUEBE LA ALIMENTACIÓN Y LAS TIERRAS DEL PCM
1. Using the wiring information, check the PCM battery, ignition feed and ground circuits.
Were any problem found with the PCM powers and grounds?
Yes
Repair as necessary.
Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain
Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
No
Go To 4
4. CHECK THE (K51) ASD RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
1. Reconnect the PCM harness connectors.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Remove the ASD Relay.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. Measure the voltage an the (K51) ASD Relay Control circuit at terminal 85 of the ASD Relay connector.
Is there any voltage present?

Yes
Repair the (K51) ASD Relay Control circuit for a short to voltage.
Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain
Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
No
Go To 5
5. CHECK THE (K51) ASD RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the ASD Relay.
3. Disconnect the PCM C1 harness connector.
4. Measure the resistance an the (K51) ASD Relay Control circuit at terminal 85 of the ASD Relay connector.
Is the resistance above 10k Ohms?
Yes
Go To 6
No
Repair the (K51) ASD Relay Control circuit for a short to ground.
Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain
Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
6. CHECK THE (K51) ASD RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
CAUTION:Do not probe the PCM harness connectors. Probing the PCM harness connectors will damage the
PCM terminals resulting in poor terminal to pin connection. Install the GPEC Diagnostic Adaptor
to perform the diagnosis.
1. Connect the Adapter, GPEC Diagnostic 10436 .
2. Measure the resistance of the (K51) ASD Relay Control circuit between the GPEC Adaptor and the ASD
Relay connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
Repair the ASD Relay Control circuit for an open or high resistance.

Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain
Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure).
No
Reemplace y programe el módulo de control del tren motriz de acuerdo con la información de servicio.
(Consultar 08 - Eléctrico/8E - Módulos de control electrónico/MÓDULO, Control del tren motriz -
Desmontaje) .
Realice la PRUEBA DE VERIFICACIÓN DEL MECANISMO DE POTENCIA. (Consulte 28 - Diagnóstico basado
en DTC/MÓDULO, Control del mecanismo de transmisión (PCM) - Procedimiento estándar) .
