VI. SECUENCIA DIDÁCTICA

M ESTRATEGIAS T
realizado.
 Invito a participar del juego “A mí me gusta…”. Recuérdales que todas las personas
tenemos gustos e intereses diferentes.

¿Tuvieron alguna dificultad?
 ¿Cómo lo superaron? ¿Para que nos servirá lo aprendido?

Collaborative activities in the session, such as discussing the rhymes and rehearsing them with partners, encourage peer interaction and shared learning experiences. These activities are structured to improve engagement by making students active participants in their learning process. The session involves students presenting their favorite rhymes in pairs, allowing for cooperative learning and peer feedback, which enhances engagement and reinforces learning through social interaction .

The session's activities and goals promote personal growth by fostering adaptability, confidence, and active participation. The interactive and reflective components encourage self-assessment and individual expression, contributing to personal development. Additionally, the emphasis on social skills like listening and teamwork aligns with the educational objective of instilling social responsibility, encouraging students to consider the well-being of peers and the collective learning environment .

The session employs multiple educational strategies to cater to various learning styles. Visual learners benefit from observing images associated with rhymes; auditory learners are engaged through listening and reciting rhymes; kinesthetic learners are activated by participating in activities like clapping to the rhythm of rhymes. This multi-modal approach ensures that students with different preferences receive adequate support and stimulation, thus increasing the likelihood of effective learning outcomes .

The session plan aims to develop inferential reading skills by engaging students in tasks that require them to interpret and derive meaning beyond the literal text. Students are asked to infer what the text accompanying images might say and whether their pre-reading predictions were correct. This requires them to use context clues and prior knowledge, fostering an ability to read between the lines and understand implied meanings within the rhymes .

Educators might face challenges such as varying student engagement levels, different learning paces, and managing classroom dynamics. Addressing these challenges requires differentiating instruction to meet diverse needs and maintaining flexibility in strategies to adjust to real-time classroom feedback. Educators can employ supplemental materials and additional support for those struggling, while advanced students could be given more complex tasks to maintain their involvement, thus catering to all learners effectively .

Student progress is evaluated using a checklist and a scaled rubric that focuses on the ability to read rhymes, identify and underline words, and correctly associate images with rhymes. These criteria assess both comprehension and engagement levels, allowing teachers to track the degree of independence or need for support in students' performance. This structured assessment provides clear metrics for measuring improvement and areas requiring additional attention .

The session plan leverages rhymes to enhance language acquisition by promoting phonemic awareness, memorization, and vocabulary development in a fun and engaging manner. Rhymes' repetitive and rhythmic nature helps establish sound patterns, aiding in the development of reading fluency and language prediction skills. The inclusion of rhymes fosters an interest in the language, facilitating an intuitive grasp of word structure, which is critical for early language learners at the second-grade level .

The session plan uses images as tools to help students connect visual cues with the auditory elements of rhymes. By associating each word of a rhyme with an image, students are expected to enhance their recall and understanding of rhyme patterns. The expected outcome is that students will be better able to identify and interpret rhymes through visual reinforcement, facilitating an improvement in reading fluency and comprehension .

The establishment of classroom norms, such as active participation and respectful listening, creates a conducive learning environment that supports the session's educational objectives. These norms encourage discipline, focus, and teamwork, which are essential for maximizing the benefits of collaborative and individual activities. By ensuring a structured and positive atmosphere, the session can effectively achieve its goals of enhancing reading comprehension and student interaction with rhymes .

The inclusion of self-evaluation and reflection encourages students to assess their understanding and the learning process they underwent. By asking questions such as 'What activity did we do today?' and 'What difficulties did we face?', the session promotes metacognition, allowing students to become aware of their learning strategies, recognize areas for improvement, and adjust their approaches for future tasks. This reflective practice is essential for fostering independent learning and critical thinking skills .
