 The hotel isn't near my house.
 The hotel is far from my house. El hotel está lejos de mi casa.

 De Modo - How?
well, better, fast, slowly, carefully, easily, …

 De Certeza - How sure?

C) Some- Any- Much- Many- Few- Little- Too- Enough
 There aren't many people in the room. No hay mucha gente en la habitación.
 There are few people in the room. Hay poca gente en la habitación.
"Not many" es igual que "few".

D) (Would) rather- Prefer

Ejemplo:
 I prefer studying English to studying German. Prefiero estudiar inglés en lugar de alemán.
 I like studying English rather than studying German. Me gusta más estudiar inglés que alemán.
Fíjate la estructura con "prefer" utiliza "to" para comparar y la estructura con "rather" utiliza "than".

E) Present Perfect vs. Past Tense

Ejemplo:
 They've been married for 5 years. Llevan 5 años casados.
 They married 5 years ago.
reescribir.

F) Neither-nor-either- or- so-both

Ejemplo:
 She doesn't 't like either pears or apples.
 She neither likes pears nor apples.

Ejemplo:
 John is taller than Peter. John es más alto que Peter.
 Peter isn't as tall as John.

Ejemplo:
 Shall we have a coffee?  ¿Nos tomamos un café?
 Would you like to have a coffee? ¿Te gustaría tomarte un café?

I) Pasar de forma activa a pasiva y viceversa.

Ejemplo:
 The police caught the thief. La policía cogió al ladrón.
 The thief was caught by the police. El ladrón fue cogido por la policía.

J) Cambiar un condicional.
Ejemplo:
 I didn't go to the cinema because I was late. No fui al cine porque llegué tarde.
 If I hadn't been late I would have gone to the cinema. Si no hubiese llegado tarde hubiera ido al cine.

K) Cambiar "relative clauses".

Ejemplo:
  There's the man. His house was burnt.  Ahí está el hombre. Su casa fue quemada.
   There's the man whose house was burnt.

Ejemplo:
 Mary said: I won't go to the party. Mary dijo: "No iré a la fiesta".
 Mary said that she wouldn't go the party.

M) Cambiar "connectors".
Ejemplo:
 Although we were hungry we didn't eat. Aunque teníamos hambre no comimos.
 In spite of being hungry we didn't eat.

The hotel has a big swimming pool.
______is a big swimming pool in the hotel.

Comentario: Sé que "has" es equivalente a "there is" (hay).

Por tanto la respuesta es: There is a big swimming pool in the hotel.

 It doesn't matter which type of cooking oil you use for this recipe.

 You can use    type of cooking oil for this recipe.

Traduzco:
 You can use any type of cooking oil for this recipe.
