El proceso de modernización de las tecnologías ha
revolucionado la labor del contador, permitiendo así
grandes avances en materia de software que han
dejado atrás la forma tradicional de desarrollar la
profesión; por ende, la formación del profesional
contable debe ir sujeta a los cambios constantes a los
que se enfrenta a diario. El reto de las universidades es
demostrar que cuenta con educación
A través del tiempo las empresas han evolucionado y necesitado del uso de la tecnología, lo
que ha permitido eficiencia, crecimiento y beneficios. Estas en su mayoría utilizan un
programa sistematizado en donde la información que esta almacenada sirve para varios
propósitos, tanto fiscal, reglamentario, de control, entre otros. Poder contar con datos en un
solo lugar, y de una manera mecanizada, asegura que la versatilidad de los sistemas
informáticos garanticen la facultad de emitir informes tantos sean necesarios, los cuales
facilitan la toma de decisiones y el análisis de estados financieros. En consecuencia los
resultados deseados son posibles y efectivos.

Theoretical framework
What is software?
Many will wonder what software is and specifically
accounting software; software is a program or set of
computer programs, as well as data, procedures and
guidelines that allow you to perform different tasks on
a computer system.
Why is knowledge and management of the software
important?
Over time, the use and management of data has been
one of the biggest questions, due to the great
information that we can count on today that is why it
has become very useful, creating software that
facilitates use. In addition, the applicability of the
software has now been extended to many fields, which
has allowed not only the handling of data but the
simplification of everyday tasks.
Accounting Software
It is a computer program used to systematize,
optimize and simplify accounting tasks. An
Accounting Software is responsible for recording and
processing all historical transactions generated in a
company, economic or productive activity.
It should be noted that, in accounting practice, the use
of accounting software is indispensable to facilitate
processes, and the use of these in companies has
increased exponentially, which has allowed greater
organization and control of data of its customers.
Software in the accounting career
In the accounting career, data management is a journal
with which you must live, and previously, not long ago
the great ally was the ledger which was a valuable tool
for recording and storing valuable and relevant
information with the profession. However, the
development of the technology has allowed to technify
some processes that for the counter were usually
tedious and a little extensive.
The use of the software in the career is very important,
therefore, the universities that promote academic offer
of this profession, implement in their curriculum some
software that allows the student to become familiar
with the field of work that he/she will face.
How will the project be developed?
For the development of the project will be carried out
a survey of different students and graduates of the
public accounting career, in different universities and
institutes of the city. Who will be asked what software
they have used, how important do they consider them?
and what applicability do they have in their
professional work?
Resources
To obtain information corresponding to the accounting
software, its use and importance, in the universities of
Villavicencio, we use human resources, corresponding
to the dialogue with teachers, friends and
acquaintances who study in different institutions of the
city, and digital, with which a simple survey was
conducted based on questions that address the
resolution of the general objective.
Population
The population that was taken into account for the
results of the project, is concentrated in students and
professors from different universities of the city, who
have some link with the accounting career which are in
ages between 18 and 60 years; They were given a
simple digital survey through different communication
channels, either chat or call, in which a lot of useful
data was obtained.
Results
The research collected data applying digital surveys,
by different means, such as chat or call, to different
colleagues, teachers and graduates of the accounting or
accounting assistant career, from different universities,
such as Uniminuto, Santo Tomas, U de Cundinamarca,
Unillanos, Cooperativa, Unimeta; In which the
following questions were asked:
1. What accounting software do you use to instruct
students?
2. How professional are teachers with the handling of
these software?
3. How important is it to learn these software in
college to practice the profession?
4. Do you think you had enough practices?
5. How often do you find these software in the
companies you have worked with?

After conducting this survey of colleagues from
different semesters and graduates from some
universities in Villavicencio; we conclude that the
most used software by the city's universities are: Agile,
Siigo, Helissa, Alegra. We were also able to show that
not all universities in the city have a professor
specialized in the management of accounting software;
Most respondents expressed dissatisfconformity with
regard to the management of technological programs
and systems, as knowledge of these accounting tools is
of vital importance to them as they are now used in the
workplace.
Many graduates in this region recognize that they have
insufficient bases for the management of these
accounting tools as for some they are new systems and
others did not have sufficient accounting practices. In
addition, it is important to mention that in professional
or auxiliary work, most companies require that the
student or professional, has handled, handled or
mastered any or more of the software according to the
needs of each company.
