TOPIC 1 — FOOD & DRINKS
¿Qué son los Countable & Uncountable Nouns?
En inglés, los sustantivos se dividen en dos grupos: los que se pueden CONTAR y los que NO se pueden contar.
✅ COUNTABLE NOUNS (Contables) 🚫 UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS (No contables)
Se pueden contar con números. NO se pueden contar directamente.
Tienen forma singular y plural. Solo tienen forma singular.
Usan: a / an / one, two, three... NO usan: a / an / numbers solos.
Ej: an apple → two apples Ej: water, milk, rice, sugar

📏 Con los UNCOUNTABLE, usa expresiones de medida: a glass of water, a cup of coffee, a bowl

TOPIC 2 — QUANTIFIERS
Los quantifiers son palabras que indican cantidad. Su uso depende de si el sustantivo es CONTABLE o
INCONTABLE.

MANY Se usa con sustantivos How many apples do you want?
CONTABLES en plural.
A FEW Se usa con sustantivos I have a few eggs in the fridge.
CONTABLES. Significa 'unos
pocos / algunos' (cantidad
pequeña pero positiva).
MUCH Se usa con sustantivos How much sugar do you want?
INCONTABLES. Principalmente
en negativas y preguntas.
A LITTLE Se usa con sustantivos Add a little salt to the soup.

SOME Se usa con CONTABLES en I want some water, please.

A FEW
Se usa con sustantivos CONTABLES. Significa 'unos pocos / algunos' (cantidad pequeña pero positiva).
• I have a few eggs in the fridge. → Tengo algunos huevos en el refrigerador.
• She drinks a few glasses of water. → Ella toma unos pocos vasos de agua.
• We have a few minutes. → Tenemos unos minutos.
MUCH
Se usa con sustantivos INCONTABLES. Principalmente en negativas y preguntas.
• How much sugar do you want? → ¿Cuánta azúcar quieres?
• I don't drink much coffee. → No tomo mucho café.
• There isn't much rice left. → No queda mucho arroz.
A LITTLE
Se usa con sustantivos INCONTABLES. Significa 'un poco de' (cantidad pequeña pero positiva).
• Add a little salt to the soup. → Agrega un poco de sal a la sopa.
• I need a little help. → Necesito un poco de ayuda.
• She drinks a little milk every day. → Ella toma un poco de leche cada día.
SOME
Se usa con CONTABLES en plural e INCONTABLES. En frases afirmativas y ofrecimientos.
• I want some water, please. → Quiero un poco de agua, por favor.
• There are some apples on the table. → Hay algunas manzanas en la mesa.
• Would you like some coffee? → ¿Te gustaría un poco de café?
ANY
Se usa con CONTABLES en plural e INCONTABLES. En frases NEGATIVAS y PREGUNTAS.
• Is there any milk in the fridge? → ¿Hay leche en el refrigerador?
• I don't have any money. → No tengo nada de dinero.
• Do you have any apples? → ¿Tienes manzanas?

🏃 Para practicar: señala cada parte de tu cuerpo y dila en inglés. ¡Repite 3 veces! Recuerda que
'foot' en plural es 'feet' y 'tooth' en plural es 'teeth'.
TOPIC 4 — SIMPLE PRESENT
El Simple Present se usa para hablar de: hábitos, rutinas, hechos generales y cosas que siempre son verdad.
🕐 Señales de tiempo: always, usually, often, sometimes, never, every day/week/month.

They play soccer on weekends. Ellos juegan fútbol los fines de semana.

El Present Continuous se usa para hablar de acciones que están ocurriendo AHORA MISMO o en este período de
tiempo.

🆚 Simple Present vs. Present Continuous

TOPIC 6 — COMPARATIVES
Los comparativos se usan para COMPARAR dos cosas o personas. La estructura general es: Adjective +
comparativo + THAN.

A cheetah is faster than a lion. Un guepardo es más rápido que un león.

💬 Siempre usa THAN después del comparativo cuando mencionas los dos elementos: 'She is
taller THAN her brother.' ¡NUNCA olvides 'than'!
