Modal verbs
• Son verbos auxiliares que modifican al verbo principal para expresar modalidad:
capacidad, posibilidad, necesidad, permiso, obligación o consejo, añadiendo matices a
la oración sin conjugarse (no llevan -s en 3ª persona) y siempre van seguidos de un
verbo en infinitivo sin "to" (ej: "She can swim", no "She cans to swim").
• No se conjugan con las personas gramaticales (primera, segunda ni tercera), por lo
que no hay que agregarles “s” al final. En otras palabras, no es she cans, sino she can.
• No tienen infinitivo (por ejemplo, no existe to can).
• No tienen gerundio (por ejemplo, no existe mighting).
• No tienen participio (por ejemplo, no existe willed).
• Modifican a otros verbos, por lo que después de un modal verb siempre hay un verbo
en su forma infinitiva (sin el to), como: You can eat better (tú puedes comer mejor).

Tipos de conjunciones
• Son palabras que se utilizan para
conectar frases, cláusulas y oraciones
entre sí. Sirven para expresar una
relación de contraste, razón, tiempo o
adición.
• Por ejemplo: I saw the movie but I didn’t
like it. / Vi la película pero no me gustó.
• Existen tres tipos: coordinantes,
subordinantes y correlativas.
