Jemanden vorstellen
Questions that we ask:
- Who is this? Or who is he?
- Where does he come from?
- Where does he live?
- How old is he?
- What is he learning?
- Where does he work?
- What is he by(von) profession(beruf)?
- Which languages does he speak?
- What are your hobbies?
His / Its sein (or seine)
Your (Casual) dein (or deine)
Your(Formal) / their/ her Ihr (or Ihre) (ihre vaneko thier pani huncha ani her pani
huncha)
ihr reist = "you all travel" ✅ (grammar is correct)
For ihr, reisen takes the -t ending → ihr reist. (Here it just happens to look the same as du reist,
but for different reasons.)
2. ihr as a possessive = "her" or "their"
This is the one from Lesson 18. It's not a subject — it sits in front of a noun:
● ihr Auto = her car / their car
● ihre Hobbys = her hobbies / their hobbies

Nominative (When noun is the subject of the sentence)

Noun is always accompanied by article
Der ( Masculine Article)

Das ( Neutral)

Words ending in -ung, -heit, -keit, -schaft, -ion, -tät → almost always die (feminine). die
Zeitung, die Freiheit, die Nation.
Words ending in -chen or -lein → always das (neuter). That's why das Mädchen is neuter —
the -chen ending overrides everything.
Most nouns ending in -er (Lehrer, Spieler, Bäcker) that refer to people/doers → often der. der
Lehrer, der Computer.
